They are the authors of Fair Debt Collection Practices: Federal and State Law and Regulation (Sheshunoff & Pratt). Mr. Newburger has been certified as a specialist in Consumer and Commercial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Sather has been certified as a specialist in Business Bankruptcy Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the American Board of Certification. The other attorneys in the firm are not certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In addition to their litigation and compliance practice, Ms. Barron and Mr. Newburger provide corporate training and employee testing through an independent company, Fair Debt Consultants, LLC. In 2004, the firm received from Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas the Joseph H. Hart Award for its efforts in the area of pro bono legal services.
